How Faith heals people and how science heals people
Salaam
i'm not trying to promote christianity or anything but below is an excerpt that'll be beneficial to everyone insha Allah this is an extract of a confession from the physician and surgeeon Paul Earnest Adolf from God In Medical Practice Back in my medical school days i learned basic materialistic concept of the changes which take palce in the body tissues as a result of injury. studying sections of tissue in the microscope i precieved that, as a result of the various favorable influences which are bought to bear upon the tissues, satisfactory repair takes place, when i subsequently enterned upon my career of hospital intern it was a degree of confidence that i did so - confident that i understood healing and injury that i could be sure of favorable outcome when the appropriate mechanical and medicinal factors for the promotion of healing were bought into play, i was soon to find out however that i neglected to integrate into my concepts of medicinal science the most important element of all - GOD one of my patients in hospital during my internship was a grandmother in her early 70's with a fractured hip, i had seen her tissues respond favourably as i had seen the x-ray pictures, indeed i had congratulated her on her rapid healing. she had now advanced on to from the wheel chair stage to crutches, the surgeon in charge of her case indicated that she should be discharged within 24 hours and go home, since he was fully satisfied with her prospects of an early full recovery it was sunday, her daughter came to see her on a routine weekly visit, at which point i told her that her mother could go home the next day, the daughter said nothing to me about her plans and went to talk to her mother, she told her mother that she had conferred with her husband and decided that her mother be taken to an old folks home a few hours later when i was called to the ladies side as the intern on her case, she was showing general physical deterioration, inside 24 hours she died - not of her broken hip but her broken heart, although in desperation we utilized all the emergency procedures that may have restored her health her broken hip had healed without a snag, but her broken heart had not. despite all the favourable influences in vitamins, minerals and immobilization of the fracture that we had bought upon her condition, she did not recover to be sure, the bone ends had united and she had a strong hip, but she had not recovered, WHY? the most important element needed in her recovery was not the vitamin, not the minerals, not the splinting of her fracture, it was HOPE, when hope had gone, recovery failed this made a deep impression upon me, since it was accompanied by the conviction that this would never be the outcome if this lady knew the God of hope as i as an earnest christian, knew him |

interesting article. Its interesting how different people view their illnesses. Faith definitly provides healing- and how you look at your condition. If you see it as the will of God then it can ease depression etc

id take the story to mean hope heals and i dont think hope is exclusive with faith
you are treated well and nicely in a hospital, supported by family, and keep a positive attitude then easier to heal psychology experiment: Langer + Rodin (locus of control): 2 wards in a nursing home, matched with similar age, socioeconomic status etc W1-> asked if they wanted a plant and asked if wanted to see a film W2-> made to have a plant and see a film Results: W1 seemed more happy + healthier, 18months later more survived |

sometimes though if you are left lonely in this world, no family no nothing, faith and trust in God is what you can survive on.

The Qur'an guides you to the recognition of your illnesses and to their remedies.Your illness are your sins, and your medicine is seeking Allah's Forgiveness. - Qatada

YOU are highly ignorant and have very little knowledge about religion.
U mock other peoples beliefs, and u are very disrespectful, please educate yourself so atleast u learn to respect people with different faith to yours. Thats all, and your link doesnt guide me to right path so i will not view it again. |
